The reverse depicts the coat of arms of Pope Francis, surrounded by the inscription "FRANCISCUS PP. AD MMXXI"
About coin set: this is the second admission of the Vatican euro coin set from the introduction of the euro (2002 m.), on which the image is no longer pope. Pope Francis, who is also known as the "poor people's Pope" and has repeatedly expressed his opinion about the negative effects and power of money, refused to be depicted on the money, so from 2017 Vatican euro coins depicted only pope coat of arms.
