The 5-euro silver coin features three feathers depicting the Republic of San Marino, with the name "REPUBLICA DI SAN MARINO" on the top of the obverse. The reverse depicts a wild cat whose coat is coated with various types of spots and stripes, and symbolizes all types of wild cats. This theme is dedicated to the World Wildlife Day. The graphic style of the coin reminds of the areas where these animals live, in order to better understand the conservation of these animals, and to emphasize the need for and value for the protection of endangered species.
