Reverse: the centre of the coin depicts the Rooster standing on the grass, around the words "LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE" (eng. Liberty, Equality, Fraternity), the bottom of the coin, on the left, the coin denomination is 20 Fcs. At the bottom of the coin is the year of the coin.
Edge: between 1898 and 1907 y. minted coins are the inscription DIEU * PROTEGE * LA * FRANCE *** and between 1898 and 1907 y. are minted words "LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE" (eng. Liberty, Equality, Fraternity).
