Obverse: the center of the obverse of the coin depicts the sun, surrounded by three feathers and 12 phases of the moon. The words "REPUBLICA DI SAN MARINO", which means the Republic of San Marino, are written in the next ring. At the bottom of the ring are the coin illustrators' initials "A. MASINI" (Annalisa Masini). The last ring features the 12 signs of the Zodiac.
Reverse: the center of the reverse of the coin depicts a Scorpio, the eighth sign of the Zodiac. Thirteen stars can be seen on the Scorpio drawing, the arrangement of which symbolizes the Scorpio sign in the constellation. Slightly above the Scorpio is the inscription "SCORPIO". At the bottom of the coin is the denomination "5 EURO". The outer ring of the coin features 10 scorpion Zodiac symbols, and the year of issue "2020" can be seen at the very top.
About the coin: San Marino continues the numismatic € 5 series dedicated to the twelve signs of the Zodiac. The entire € 5 series should be minted until 2021.
