Obverse: the obverse of the coin depicts Goats, the bottom of the coin is engraved with the words "Year of the Goat", and above the Goats is engraved a Chinese character, which also means "Year of the Goat". The letter 'P', representing the Australian National Mint, is struck on the left-hand side of the coin.
Reverse: the reverse of the coin depicts Queen Elizabeth II, who is also the Monarch of Australia. The words 'ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA' are engraved at the top of the coin, indicating the Queen's name and the coin's country of origin, and the weight, silver purity and denomination '1KG 9999 SILVER 2015 30 DOLLARS' are engraved at the bottom.
