Obverse: the coin depicts the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. Above the coin shows a temple inscribed 中华人民共和国 (Lith. People's Republic of China), the bottom of the coin mintage year "2003".
Reverse: bamboo forest in the background, is shown seated and holding a bamboo branch Panda. On the right side of the coin is inscribed coins in denominations of 100元, coins superimposed at the bottom of the coin weight and fineness "1/4 oz Au .999".
