Reverse: the reverse of the coin depicts a standing emperor (Franz Joseph I) holding a king's scepter and a ball of power in his hand. The date "1908" is engraved below. The words engraved around the image of the ruler are: "FERENCZ.JÓZSEF I.K.A.CS AND M.H.S.D.O.AP.KIR.".
Obverse: the reverse of the coin depicts a shield with a crown, held on the sides by angels. The words "MAGYAR KIRÁLYSÁG" are engraved at the top and the denomination of "100 KORONA" at the bottom.
About the coin: in 1892, the Austrian Mint first started minting gold korona coins when Franz Joseph I introduced currency reform. The first coins were worth 10 and 20 korona.
