Obverse: coins for the first time in the history of the coin depict the coinage of the Republic of Lithuania in a calligraphy. The name of the state is LITHUANIA at the top of the coin, and the denomination and coin minted year at the bottom are 100 LITAS 2009.
Reverse: a passage from the Act of Restoration of the State of Lithuania is stylistically drawn in the center of the coin LIETUVOS VALSTYBĖS ATKŪRIMAS (eng. LITHUANIAN STATE RECOVERY). The monogram of the 11th of March was created by the painter B. Leonavicius on the top of the coin, while the columns of Gediminaiciai were written below the coin.

About the coin: the coin series is intended to commemorate the 1000th anniversary of the name of Lithuania.
