Its measuring sensors and electronic circuits recognize data from the diamond being tested through a specially adapted microcontroller, and identify diamonds and moissanites based on their thermal and electrical properties.
The PMuT III has a retractable probe tip to ensure contact with the gemstone during testing. The PMuT III has the industry's thinnest 0.6 mm probe tip, allowing it to test diamonds as small as 0.02 carats.
