About the coin: this coin was minted in 1936 after the opening of the new Kaunas Mint. Eight workers of the joint-stock company Spindulys worked on the minting of the coins at that time, and their work was supervised by the officials of the Supervision of the Production of Value Stamps. This 5 cent coin is made of bronze and aluminium alloy. The design was by Juozas Zikaras.
