Florinus was established in the year 2013 on October 17th. This company began developing its activity in relatively small premises in Kaunas with limited capital. This pastime turned into a business that buys and sells collectible and old historical coins. In several years it snowballed into a retail chain that trades investment metals, currency, numismatic accessories, safes, and many other products.

Florinus Company's title

The title associates with one of the first minted gold coins in Europe, Florence - Florins. This coin originates from Italy and was minted from 1252 to 1533. One of the reasons that made Florins popular is the fact that their design was kept the same throughout the centuries. This currency quickly became a dominant trade coin in Western Europe due to Florentine banks establishing many branches across Europe. The fact that over 100 European states started issuing copies of florins shows the influence that this currency once had.
