Obverse: 1 and 2 euro coins show Queen Beatrix, the middle of the coin, the words "BEATRIX KONINGIN DER NEDERLANDEN" (Queen Beatrix Netherlands) and year of mintage "2003". Queen Beatrix is also featured on the obverse of the 50 to 1 cent coin, but the words are surrounded by the "BEATRIX KONINGIN DER NEDERLANDEN 2003" coin and twelve stars of the European Union.
Reverse: Normal denominations of euro coins.
