The words "GROUSSHERZOGUEVU" and the name of the country "LËTZEBUERG" and the year "1921" are engraved on the left-hand side of the coin next to Jean's image, and the name of the current Grand Duke "HENRI" is engraved on the right-hand side of the coin. The outer ring of the coin features the initials of the 12 stars of the European Union and of the mint and engraver.
Reverse: A regular figure of 2 euros.
