Obverse: The obverse of the coin depicts one of the characters of the Mardi Gras - a bearded rider dressed with a stick and raised his hand. The name of the country "LIETUVA" (eng. Lithuania) and the year of issue of the coin "2019" are inscribed at the bottom of the coin. In the middle left, the denomination "1.5 €" and on the right the mintmark of the Lithuanian Mint.
Reverse: The coin depicts the image of the užgavėnės celebration, during which Lithuanians mow in winter from our yards, celebrating winter escort. The heart of the coin is the main symbol of the feast - More, and around it all the other dressers of the feast (Lasininis with Kanapinis, a goat, a beggar, a winch and a witch pancake). The inscription "UŽGAVĖNĖS" appears at the top of the coin, and the legendary shorthair call sign "ŽIEMA, ŽIEMA, BĖK IŠ KIEMO!" (eng. Winter, winter go away from the yard!)
