Obverse: the central area features the large numeral 10 and the inscription DEŠIMTIS CENTŲ, surrounded by dense protective ornamentation. On the right is the Lithuanian coat-of-arms motif with the knight (Vytis). Below appears the issue date March 10, 1922 and the series marking. Fine linework and intricate patterns provide strong security features typical of early Lithuanian Republic issues.
Reverse: at the center is the inscription 10 CENTŲ, framed by symmetrical and highly delicate graphic elements. At the top appears LIETUVOS BANKO BANKNOTAS, and at the bottom a warning against counterfeiting. The reddish-brown colour palette is characteristic of small-denomination notes of 1922.
About the banknote: this is one of the earliest circulating banknotes of independent Lithuania, issued in 1922 during the national currency stabilisation period. The 10 centai note was intended for small daily transactions. This example is graded PMG EF 40 (Extremely Fine), indicating sharp detail with only minimal circulation wear. Its historical importance and solid condition make it a desirable collector’s piece.
