About the banknote: This is one of the first interwar Lithuanian banknotes, issued by the Bank of Lithuania in 1922 after the currency reform, when the Lithuanian litas was introduced (on October 2, 1922), replacing the ostmark (the German occupation currency). Due to its historical significance, this banknote is highly valued by collectors.
