About the coin: Issued by the Bank of Estonia in 2009, this commemorative silver coin is dedicated to the tradition of Estonia’s Song and Dance Celebrations. These celebrations are among the most important traditions of Estonian cultural identity, bringing together thousands of singers, dancers and spectators. The coin was designed by Tiiu Pirsko and Mati Veermets. It was struck in 999 fine silver in Proof quality, with a mintage of 10,000 pieces.
