About the coin: this silver dollar was issued in 1993 to commemorate the anniversary of the U.S. Bill of Rights. Designed by William Krawczewicz, Thomas D. Rogers, and Dean McMullen. The Denver Mint (D) struck the uncirculated version and the San Francisco Mint (S) struck the proof version. The maximum authorized mintage was 900,000 coins, but the actual numbers were lower: 534,001 proof and 98,383 uncirculated. Coins were distributed individually and in two-, three-, or six-coin sets dedicated to the Bill of Rights commemorative program. Composition – 90% silver and 10% copper, actual silver weight 24.05 g, total weight 26.73 g, diameter 38.1 mm, reeded edge.
