Obverse: the center of the obverse of the coin depicts the sun, surrounded by three feathers and 12 phases of the moon. The words "REPUBLICA DI SAN MARINO", which means the Republic of San Marino, are written in the next ring. At the bottom of the ring are the coin illustrators' initials "A. MASINI" (Annalisa Masini). The last ring features the 12 signs of the Zodiac.
Reverse: the reverse of the coin depicts the Capricorn of the tenth sign of the Zodiac. Ten stars can be seen on the Capricorn drawing, the arrangement of which symbolizes the Capricorn in the constellation. Slightly to the right of the Capricorn is the word "CAPRICORN VS". The denomination "5 EURO" is written on the bottom of the coin. The outer ring of the coin features 10 Capricorn Zodiac symbols, and the year of issue "2021" can be seen at the very top.
