Obverse: the central element is the Lithuanian coat of arms with the Vytis, framed by decorative floral and geometric ornaments. Large numerals 10 appear on both sides, while the lower part features the inscription DEŠIMTS LITŲ and LIETUVOS BANKAS. The serial number and official signatures are also present. The intricate engraving provides strong security features typical of interwar Lithuanian banknotes.
Reverse: at the center is an agricultural scene depicting a farmer plowing a field with horses—a symbol of Lithuania’s agrarian heritage. Ornamented frames with the denomination 10 appear on both sides. At the top is LIETUVOS BANKO BANKNOTAS, and at the bottom a warning against counterfeiting. The greenish-brown colour palette reflects the style of notes issued in the 1920s–1930s.
About the banknote: this 1928 issue is one of the most distinguished banknotes of interwar Lithuania, notable for its detailed engraving and rich national symbolism. The 10 litu denomination served mid-value transactions. This specimen is graded PMG EF 40 (Extremely Fine), meaning sharp detail with only light circulation wear. Due to its historical and artistic value, it is a desirable collectible.
