This cephalopod fossil pendant is a unique fragment of natural history from Morocco, approximately 370 million years old. An Orthoceras fossil is clearly visible in the centre of the pendant – part of the straight, chambered shell of an extinct cephalopod that inhabited the seas during the Devonian Period.
The carefully polished surface highlights the elongated fossil structure, intricate natural patterns and contrasting black, grey and off-white tones. A drilled hole at the top allows the pendant to be paired with a cord, chain or another type of fastening.
It is a distinctive piece of jewellery, a collectible specimen and a meaningful gift for anyone interested in geology, palaeontology and natural history. Each fossil pendant is one of a kind, so its colours, pattern, shape and fossil placement may vary. Natural veins, small cracks and surface irregularities are characteristics of its natural origin and are not considered defects.
