About the coin: Gesellius-Lindgren-Saarinen is a Finnish architectural firm founded in 1896. Herman Gesellius, Arm Lindgren and Eliel Saarinen. Their first significant joint project was the Finnish pavilion for 1900. for the world exhibition in Paris (created in 1898). This pavilion, which reflects the stylistics of Finnish national romanticism and is decorated with frescoes by Akseli Gallen-Kallela, was a great success and brought important commissions to the young architects. The firm operated until 1907, after which its members continued their activities independently.
