In 1921 five countries - Belgium, United Kingdom, Japan, France and Italy were the first countries to grant Latvia De Jure recognition. Soon Romania, Poland, Finland, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Iran, Denmark, Sweden and Norway seconded the motion.
