Obverse: the denomination with the inscription '10 CENTS', next to a stylised rye ear.

About the coin: money printed on poor paper, especially cents, wore out quickly in circulation, and the need to mint coins to replace banknotes soon arose. In 1923, the Ministry of Finance, Trade and Industry of Lithuania launched a competition to design coins of 1, 2, 5, 10, 25, 50 cents and 1, 3, 5, 25, and 50 litai to express the spirit of national art. The competition was won by the sculptor Juozas Zikaras, who designed this 10 cent coin minted in the United Kingdom.
