Reverse: The reverse depicts a traveler and a local person paddling a canoe. The traveler is paddling from the back of the canoe, while the local person is at the front. Between them is a bundled fur package with the HB mark, referencing the Hudson's Bay Company, and above them, stylized vertical rays represent the northern lights illuminating the sky. This emphasizes the respect for the fur trade – the industry that helped build the country.
