About the coin: the obolus is an extremely old and rare silver coin of ancient Greece, equal to 1/6 of a drachma. The meaning of the word 'obal' is derived from the Greek word obolos, meaning 'nail'. Originally, obols were copper or bronze ingots.
On the obols of 375-333, a Persian king fighting with a lion rising up on his right side is engraved. On the other side is part of the Greek mythological symbol Hippocampus. The hippocampus was usually depicted as the upper part of the horse's body and the lower part of the fish's body.
Silver obols have a unique irregular shape which gives the coin its unique value.
