Reverse: The crowned monogram of Prince Rainier III of Monaco is depicted. At the top is the inscription CINQUANTIÈME ANNIVERSAIRE DE RÈGNE, and below are the denomination 100F and the years 1949–1999, marking the 50th anniversary of the prince’s reign.
About the coin: This is a commemorative 100 francs silver coin issued in Monaco to mark the 50th anniversary of Prince Rainier III’s reign. The coin is composed of 900 fine silver, weighs 15 g, and has a diameter of 31 mm. It contains 13.5 g of pure silver. Although it was not intended for circulation, the coin became an important collector’s item commemorating the jubilee of one of Europe’s longest-reigning monarchs.
