About the coin: This commemorative silver 1 ruble coin was issued in 1913 to mark the 300th anniversary of Romanov rule in Russia. The dynasty began in 1613 with the accession of Michael Romanov, while Nicholas II ruled the empire during the anniversary year. The coin was struck in Saint Petersburg from .900 silver, weighs 20 g and contains 18 g of pure silver. Two varieties with different relief characteristics are known.
