Obverse: The coat of arms of the Somali Republic is depicted, with the year of minting, 2014, on either side. At the top of the coin, the country’s name, SOMALI REPUBLIC, is inscribed, and at the bottom, the denomination 100 SHILLINGS.
Reverse: Two elephants are depicted. Around them, the words AFRICAN WILDLIFE are inscribed, and at the bottom of the coin, the animal's name, ELEPHANT, is indicated, along with the coin's weight, 1 OZ, the precious metal name AG, and the purity 999.9.
About the coin: The African elephant first appeared on Zambian coins in 1999, and since 2004, these coins have officially been minted by the Somali Republic, with a new reverse design issued every year.
