Reverse: The reverse of the coin depicts Christopher Columbus, known as the "discoverer of America," and his ship. The inscription 500 YEARS OF AMERICA and the years 1492–1992 are engraved around the image. At the bottom is the coin’s denomination, 10 DOLLARS.
