Obverse: The center of the obverse features a crossed flame, and around it is inscribed the phrase XVIes JEUX OLYMPIQUES D'HIVER (16th Winter Olympic Games), with the name of the South French city ALBERTVILLE where the Olympics took place, and to the right is the denomination 100 FRANCS. At the bottom, the five Olympic rings are depicted.
Reverse: The reverse depicts a freestyle skier and a chamois. Above is the inscription of the country – REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE (French Republic).
About the coin: This 100 Franc silver coin was issued in 1990 to commemorate the 16th Winter Olympic Games held in Albertville.
