Obverse: The obverse of the coin features the official portrait of His Majesty King Charles III by Martin Jennings. The coin’s legend and denomination are inscribed around: “CHARLES III D G REX F D 5 POUNDS”.
Reverse: The reverse shows one of the royal Tudor beasts – the Bull, with the inscription “BULL OF CLARENCE”, the year “2023”, and the precious metal “2 oz FINE SILVER 999.9”.
About the coin: In the Middle Ages, dragons were prominent symbols of power and lineage. According to surviving manuscripts from that period, the Tudor dragon was depicted with a red head, back, and wings, while its underside was golden. This coin series will consist of 10 coins featuring iconic animals: the Lion of England, the Bull of Clarence, the Tudor Dragon, the Greyhound of Richmond, the Royal Dragon, the Griffin of Beaufort, the Unicorn of Seymour, the Queen’s Panther, the Queen’s Lion, and the Panther of Seymour.
