Reverse: the reverse of the coin depicts Koala clutching and sitting on a branch of a eucalyptus tree. The words "AUSTRALIAN KOALA" are minted in the top of the coin, at the bottom of the coin are minted year, weight and purity of the silver "2013 1 oz 999 SILVER". In the reverse we can also see the letter "P", which is the mark of the Australian Perth Mint.
Obverse: the obverse of the coin shows the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing necklace (Australia valid for a constitutional monarchy, in which Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is the Queen of Australia). The coin engraved with the words "ELIZABETH II" and the name of the state "AUSTRALIA". At the bottom of the coin is inscribed the denomination of the coin "1 DOLLAR". Below queen image engraved in the designer's initials JC (Jody Clark).
