Reverse: the reverse of the coin depicts Monticello, Thomas Jefferson’s main residence and plantation. At the top is the inscription UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, followed by MONTICELLO, the Latin phrase E PLURIBUS UNUM, and at the bottom, the denomination ONE DOLLAR.
