Reverse: the coin shows the denomination '10 euro' in the middle of the reverse and the year '2004' above it. The coin is surrounded by the abbreviations of the names of the countries belonging to the European Union 'D DK S FIN EST LV LT PL CZ SK H SLO CY GR A I M P E F IRL GB L B'.
About the coin: this coin is intended to welcome the countries that joined the European Union in 2004. There were 10 of them that year: Cyprus and Malta, as well as eight Central and Eastern European countries: the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia. This completed the fragmentation of Europe after the Second World War.
