The artist thus interprets the dissolution of the union - the successful division of the former whole. In between, on the left-hand side is the letter 'E', indicating the place of minting, Eskilstuna, and on the right-hand side is the letter 'H', which is the first letter of the surname of the Governor of the Riksbank - Heikensten. Reverse: the reverse of the coin shows a flagpole with a tricolour flag. The flagpole bears the text 'TVÅ NATIONER I SAMFÖRSTÅND' on the left and the denomination of the coin, 'KR 2000', on the right.
