Obverse: The obverse of the coin features the official portrait of His Majesty King Charles III by Martin Jennings.Around the legend of the coin and the indicated denomination "CHARLES III D G REX F D 100 POUNDS".
Reverse: The reverse shows one of the Tudor royal beasts - a dragon and the inscription "TUDOR DRAGON", the year "2024", and the precious metal "FINE GOLD 999.9". The reverse was created by designer David Lawrence.
About the coin: During the Middle Ages, dragons were prominent symbols of power and descent. According to surviving manuscripts from the period, the Tudor dragon was depicted with a red head, back and wings, with a golden underside. This coin series will consist of 10 coins featuring the iconic animals: The English Lion, Clarence Bull, Tudor Dragon, Richmond Greyhound, Royal Dragon, Beaufort's Griffon, Seymour's Unicorn, Queen's Panther, Queen's Lion and Seymour's Panther.
