Obverse: The obverse of the coin shows the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II (Australia valid for a constitutional monarchy, in which Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is the Queen of Australia). The coin engraved with the words "ELIZABETH II" and the name of the state "AUSTRALIA". At the bottom of the coin is inscribed the denomination of the coin "30 DOLLAR". Below queen image engraved in the designer's initials IRB (Ian Rank-Broadley).
Reverse: The picture shows a koala holding on to a branch of a tree. The design also includes the words "AUSTRALIAN KOALA", a traditional Perth Mint mintmark with the date "2015", as well as a "1 KILO" and coinage "999". On the right side at the middle is also inscribed alphabet "P" which is Australian Mint The Perth Mint.
About the coin: Since 2007 The Perth Mint introduced the Silver Koalas series. Coins with a different image of this animal are issued each year on the reverse of the coin. This year, a new picture of Queen Elizabeth II Jody Clark is on display. When early Europeans first encountered a koala in Australia, they considered tree-climbing animals to be monkeys or bears. Koalas have special physical properties that facilitate their lifestyle in trees. They are capable of grasping branches and picking out eucalyptus leaves, hard skin and sharp paws provide traction when climbing branches. They have an extremely dense and thick coat that allows them to sit comfortably on the branches for hours. These unique Australian animals are great icons representing the Australian fauna in the coin series.
