About the set: In 2025, the Malta Coin Centre released a dated Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) euro coin set featuring all eight standard denominations from 1 cent to 2 euros alongside a commemorative 2 euro coin honoring Mdina, the ancient capital of Malta and one of the country’s most significant architectural landmarks. The set continues the Maltese Walled Cities series, celebrating the nation’s cultural and architectural heritage. The coins were struck by the Royal Dutch Mint, with designs by Noel Galea Bason and Luc Luycx.
