Obverse: the obverse of the coin depicts two buildings from the 14th century, the gate of the Puerta del Sol and the Synagogue del Transito. The inscription "ESPANA" and the year of issue "2021" are engraved on the left side of the obverse. The outer ring of the coin depicts the twelve stars of the European Union.
Reverse: regular 2 euro denomination.
