Obverse: The main feature of the coin's obverse is the logo of the University of Ljubljana. On the left hand side of the coin is the facade of the university and its design is made up of a rectangular figure and the inscription "100 LET UNIVERZE V LJUVLJANI" (100 years for the University of Ljubljana). The central part of the coin has a matte backdrop, giving a more expressive and powerful effect to the inscription and figure, the combination of which conveys the university's silhouette. Inscription "SLOVENIA 2019" appears in the lower right corner of the image.
