Obverse: the obverse of a banknote depicts wild rosemary (ledum palustre). In the middle - there is a number of the denomination "500" written in a double line. In the background - a grid of gray, blue and brown. The inscription "LIETUVOS RESPUBLIKA" and the year of issue "1993" appear at the top left of the banknote. In the middle of the left side there is a coat of arms of the Republic of Lithuania - Vytis. At the bottom left - the banknote denomination "FIVE HUNDRED TALONŲ" .
Reverse: the reverse of the banknote depicts a pair of wolves (Canis lupus) on a blue and greenish grid.
