About the coin: This commemorative 2-euro coin is dedicated to the County of Carladès — a French region granted to the Princes of Monaco by King Louis XIII in the late 17th century. Although the territory is no longer part of Monaco, the title of Count of Carladès still belongs to the princely family of Monaco — currently held by Princess Gabriella, daughter of Prince Albert II. The coin was issued in a highly limited mintage — only 15,000 pieces.
