Obverse: The center on the obverse of the coin depicts the coat of arms of Samogitia - In the shield a bear with a chain around its neck. Above the shield is a heraldic duchy hat. The shield is considered a symbol of courage, sacrifice and love for the motherland - an armored warrior and a symbol of hope - a goddess with an anchor. Below is the Latin inscription "PATRIA UNA" (lot. "Homeland One"). At the top is the name of the country "LIETUVA" (eng. Lithuania) and at the bottom the word "ŽEMAITIJA" (eng. Samogitia) and the year of coin "2019". The coin's outer ring features the 12 stars of the European Union.
Reverse: Regular 2€ denomination number.
Edge: Minted words "LAISVĖ VIENYBĖ GEROVĖ" (eng. Freedom, Unity, Welfare).
About the coin: This Lithuanian 2 euro commemorative coin, struck in 2019, is intended for "Žemaitija". This is the first coin from the series "Ethnographic Regions of Lithuania".
