Obverse: The set consists of three 2007 San Marino euro coins – 10 cents, 20 cents and 2 euros. The 10 cent coin depicts the Basilica of San Marino, the 20 cent coin features Saint Marinus holding the city in his hand, based on a painting from the school of Guercino, while the 2 euro coin depicts Palazzo Pubblico, the government palace of San Marino. The coins also feature the year 2007, the inscription SAN MARINO, the R mint mark of the Rome Mint and the 12 stars of the European Union.
Reverse: The reverse of the coins features the common design corresponding to each euro denomination. The 10 and 20 cent coins depict a map of Europe together with the denomination, while the 2 euro coin features a geographical map of Europe extending across both the inner and outer parts of the coin. The designs also feature 12 stars symbolising the European Union.
About the coins: The 2007 San Marino euro coin set is an official three-coin issue consisting of the 10 cent, 20 cent and 2 euro denominations. The coins are presented in original yellow packaging issued by the San Marino State Philatelic and Numismatic Office and decorated with the coat of arms of the republic. All three coins belong to the first series of San Marino national euro coin designs, used from 2002 to 2016.
