Obverse: the coins depict one of the most significant historical and architectural monuments of Lithuania and Vilnius - Dawn Gates, which reflect the proportions of the golden section. The coat of arms of the Lithuanian state - Vytis - is seen at the gate of the Dawn. The title of the state is LITHUANIA and the coin denomination is 10 LITŲ, the bottom of the coin year 2007 and the mint mark of the Lithuanian Mint.
Reverse: represented from the principle used in architecture in antiquity in the form of a golden cross-section, which is expressed in a geometric figure - a rectangle. The basic principle of the golden section is to divide the perfect segment into two parts so that the ratio of the longer part to the shorter one is equal to the whole coupling with the longitudinal part. From ancient times, this formula was considered to be aesthetically perfect, or, in other words, the proportion of gold. Also, the words SECTIO AUREA are reversed.
Coin Designs by: Liudas Parulskis and Rytas Jonas Belevicius.
About the coin: the certificate is not attached to the coin. The architecture of the Gate of Dawn, one of the most significant cultural and religious monuments, is characterized by extremely harmonious proportions, so the reverse of the coin depicts the rule of the "golden section" of the ancient architectural principle.
