Obverse: in the centre - the coat of arms of the Republic of Lithuania Vytis. The centre of the coin has the coat of arms in the centre and the year of issue in the centre. The name of the state 'LIETUVA' appears in the upper part of the coin, in a semicircle around the coat of arms of the Republic of Lithuania. The year of issue of the coin is embossed at the bottom. The edge of the coin is surrounded by a border, the inner side of which is smooth.
Reverse: the denomination '2' is embossed in the centre, symmetrically with the coin's vertical axis, followed by the inscription 'LITAI'. The sides of the ring are ornamented with groups of striped hoops.
Edge: the edge of the coin is divided into five scalloped sectors, separated by gaps of smooth surface.
About the coin: the coin was designed by the artist Antanas Åœukauskas. The artist of the adapted Knight is Arvydas KaÅŸdailis. These 2 litas coins were minted between 1998 and 2014.
