Obverse: the coat of arms of the State - the Vytis, below it the inscription "LIETUVA".
Reverse: the denomination '1' in the centre of the coin, with the inscription 'CENTAS' underneath, the year of minting '1936' to the left and a stylised rye bell to the right.

About the coin: this coin was minted in 1936 when the new Kaunas Mint opened. Eight workers of the joint-stock company Spindulys worked on the minting of the coins at that time, and their work was supervised by clerks of the Vetybinių stamps production supervision. This 1 cent coin is made of bronze and aluminium alloy. The design was by Juozas Zikaras.
