The visit of Pope Francis in Lithuania is a historic event of significance for the whole of Lithuania, and this brass medal was minted on this occasion. The obverse of the medal depicts Pope Francis blessing Lithuanian people who stylized in the form of a heart symbolizing the love of the holy father to humans. Above the people there are two olive branches, and on the top of the coin there is the inscription "POPIEŽIUS PRANCIŠKUS LIETUVOJE 2018" (eng. Pope Francis in Lithuania 2018). This brass medal reverse is cities visited by the Holy Father, symbols - the symbols of Vilnius and Kaunas Cathedral and Christianity - the Cross and the olive tree.
