The Litas Committee is an institution of Lithuania that has set the date of the circulation of the litas, the deadline for the withdrawal of coupons, the ratio of their exchange into the litas and other conditions for the introduction of the national currency.
Obverse: all coins in the collection depict the coat of arms of the Republic of Lithuania Vytis, the inscription "LIETUVA" and the year of issue "1991".
The reverse of the 1 ct coin - depicts the denomination "1 CENTAS", a square ornament and triangular tulips. In the centre of the ornament - are Gediminas pillars.
The reverse of the 2 ct coin - depicts the denomination "2 CENTAI", a spindle ornament, a stylized image of the sun at the top and squares of different sizes in proportion to the dimensions of the triangles. The solar ornament consists of 16 elements, the second of which is the same and all meet at a point in the centre of the sun.
The reverse of the 5 ct coin - depicts the denomination "5 CENTAI", an ornament in the shape of a wind vane, a leaf in the centre and across at the top and snakes on both sides below. Even below, on both sides of the stem of the leaf, are angels blowing trumpets.
